This drystone retaining wall in Natural Bridge State park was originally built in the 1930's through the Works Progress Administration which was part of the that employed millions of jobseekers (mostly men who were not formally educated to carry out public works projects.  The wall was in serious disrepair.  I worked with the Dry Stone Conservancy to restore this bit of history to its former glory.
